Mission
Agentic AI UW is a community for learners, builders, generalists, entrepreneurs, and techno-optimists. We believe that the purpose of Engineering work is to create values and build useful products for people. Therefore, every year as a whole club, we attempt to build a revolutionary consumer-facing product with real users and real-world impact.

Students who join our club will gain valuable knowledge and skills working with AI systems. They will gain experience working with a team of people on a large-scale project to prepare them to work in the industry. They will learn how to engineer products that are actually useful for people. Most importantly, they will gain lifelong connections with like-minded people who are also learners, builders, generalists, entrepreneurs, and techno-optimists.

We also encourage our club members to utilize the connections they made in the club and build startups after graduation. Due to the entrepreneurial focus of our club project, we fully expect our club alumni to form multiple startups with great impact in the AI industry and beyond. However, one point to emphasize is that even with the club’s focus on building a consumer-facing product, the club itself will never become a precursor to a startup (more details in the “Projects” section).

The club also aims to build strong connections with professors, labs, departments and other student organizations within the university. Outside of the university, our club aims to build connections with companies, government, investors and more. At the same time, we aim to keep our alumni community continually get involved with our college club. In this way, we hope to create a strong virtuous cycle between our club and other entities: a continuous transfer and flow of skills, funding, knowledge, and more.

Mission
EZ Bots is an organization dedicated to lowering the barriers to who can build, modify, deploy, and benefit from robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). Today, robotics and AI has advanced rapidly, yet access to capable robots remains constrained by cost, specialization, and technical complexity. Many robotic systems are designed around specific tasks and fixed physical forms, requiring different platforms or the purchase of a new robot for applications such as education, delivery, social interactions, accessibility, or collaborative work. At the same time, researchers developing new forms of human-robot interactions often have to integrate or build specialized hardware and software before they can translate an interaction concept into a deployable system.

This fragmentation creates barriers to both using robots and creating them. These barriers disproportionately affect lower-income individuals, schools, communities and researchers with limited recourse, potentially widening existing disparities in access to emerging technologies.

Our mission is to develop affordable, one-for-all modular robotics where both the body and intelligence can adapt to changing needs. A shared central intelligence can assemble and reconfigure its capabilities, while the physical system can be rebuilt through interchangeable components via self-assembly or human-assisted assembly. Instead of creating a new robot and intelligence for every application, the same ecosystem could rebuild both how it thinks, behaves and how it takes form for various domains such as education, delivery, social interactions, collaborative work, accessibility healthcare, and everyday assistance.

For researchers, we aim to provide reusable physical modules and modular intelligence that reduce the resources required to transform an interaction concept into a deployable system. For everyday users, non-profits, and communities, we envision affordable robots that can evolve with their needs rather than requiring them to continually purchase new systems.

Ultimately, EZ Bots seeks to democratize adaptable robotics by expanding who can build, modify, deploy and benefit from robotics and AI. At EZ Bots, we pursue this mission through an iterative process of collaborative design, prototyping, testing, and evaluation, with the ultimate goal of making adaptable robotics readily available to those who need it most. We envision a future where a robot is not defined by a single body, intelligence, or purpose, but can reconfigure what it is, how it thinks, and what it can do around the people it serves.
