A notoriously cut-throat, intellectually obscure beast sits quietly at the helm of the world’s largest economies. It employs meme-makers, data gurus, CEOs, Twitter wizards and everything in between. It makes an audience of humanity and speaks for everyone. Rather than adapting to societal change, it creates it. Its name is advertising and it is ubiquitous. It is potent. It is dynamic. We make a mission of soaking in it because, one day, we will own it. 

WHAT WE DO: Ad Club's kickoff meeting for each semester is usually the week after the Student Org. Fair. At our every-other-week meetings, you'll hear from advertising professionals about their climb to the top, day-to-day experiences and award-winning campaigns. Yes, there's free pizza.

AD CLUB AGENCY: Working on your portfolio? In addition to our general club's bi-weekly meetings, ad club also has sub-group we call our "agency." Anyone can join the group as long as they pay general ad club membership dues. Ad club agency meets on a weekly basis, and students are assigned to different groups based on their specialized interests in advertising. The groups work on an integrated campaign for another student organization, their "client," for the semester.

SOCIALS: While Ad Club's focus is professional, we're not shy about having fun. Our socials are great ways to meet other members – other people who will one day be your friends, colleagues or bosses.

FIELD TRIPS: Every semester, Ad Club organizes an Agency Tour where we visit advertising hotspots in the Midwest, like Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis. On these trips, attendees learn firsthand what it's like to work at an agency, they gain insight from Account Managers and Planners, Art Directors, Copywriters and Creative Directors, Strategists, Media Buyers and any roll you can think of. The networking opportunities are endless!

CAREER FAIR: Every spring semester since 2015, we have organized a Career Fair for students who are interested in marketing and advertising. The fair hosts representatives from agencies all over the country.
