Parent Organization: University of Wisconsin - Madison

AIAA is a collection of various undergraduate teams participating in high power rocketry and robotics competitions. Other related competitions available include ones dealing with, for example, remote control airplanes.

A Spring trip is planned every Spring break, where members travel to one location anywhere in the United States and visit several aerospace companies in that area. Furthermore AIAA hosts small social events throughout the academic season, such as watching major launches via laptop and projector or chatting with professors Friday nights after class at the Sett in Union South.

Here at UW, we are supported by the College of Engineering's department of Engineering Physics. Most members are Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics majors. Most members enjoy the advantage of sharing many of there classes with teammates.

We are UW-Madison's chapter of the national AIAA organization. These lines are quoted from the national AIAA webpage:

"Our purpose is to ignite and celebrate aerospace ingenuity and collaboration, and its importance to our way of life. Our promise is to be your vital lifelong link to the aerospace community and a champion for its achievements."
