AISP (Association of Information Systems Professionals) is a student organization at the UW-Madison aimed at bridging the gap between the academic and professional worlds of information systems by hosting a variety of events for students interested in a career in information technology.
AISP’s main goals include providing thought-provoking lectures, rich technical workshops, exclusive company visits, and socials. Additionally we hope to help members meet and network with the leading IT recruiters, and leverage their knowledge and experience to to obtain a successful career.
Our mission also includes providing its members with unique and rare opportunity to connect with employers through our corporate partners and annual career fair. We bring together some of the leading IS/IT recruiters, giving you unprecedented access to company representatives.
Joining our organization is as simple as expressing an interest. Simply register on the web site and we will be sure to contact keep you informed about upcoming AISP events. Additionally, check the site frequently as we often ask for our members’ opinions for scheduling.
Membership Requirements (for example: GPA requirements, membership fees)
To be eligible for membership in AISP, individuals must be currently enrolled students at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Students may be pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or professional degrees, and there is no restriction based on field of study. Special considerations will be made at the discretion of the AISP board for individuals who are not University of Wisconsin – Madison student. To be considered as a member of AISP, individuals must meet a point requirement which will be set by the AISP board prior to each academic year. Active membership status will be achieved by meeting the points requirement for the semester by attending events that grant points. Lastly, there are currently no established dues or membership fees to be a member of AISP.
