Parent Organization: University of Wisconsin - Madison
The Cambodian Students Association was founded in the Fall of 2007 by Susan and Sarah Samreth. Together they sought to build a small niche of students interested in learning more about the Cambodian culture and sharing their knowledge with the campus community. Through recruiting efforts and collaborations, they established CSA amongst the campus. The mission of CSA strives to build a cohesive community within students of all ethnicities interested in learning about Cambodian culture. Our mission is to reach out to the campus and extended community and enrich them with the culture of Cambodia and South East Asia. Our focus will also be geared towards collaboration events with diverse organizations on campus with the hope of building a solid network of students and mentors. We are composed of a diverse body of students, of Cambodian and non-cambodian-american descent, undergraduates and graduate students. We represent students from a variety of disciplines and majors and we are open to new members regardless of ethnicity, sexuality or religion.
