Madison Review, The
About
The Madison Review has been a student-led and student-run literary journal for over thirty years. We exist for all students to share new and exciting literature, foster important literary discussion, and forge a vibrant community of folks who love writing, connecting Madison's campus to a wider collective through our publications. In our semiannual journals, we strive to uplift emerging writers, seek diverse voices and perspectives, and compile captivating stories and poems that come from all over the globe. We also cultivate vital conversations around literature, publishing, and the arts through our interviews with writers and the broader literary community. Some of our past interviewees include Ira Glass and former Poet Laureate Billy Collins.
Our staff-members come from many different majors and interests at the university, but we all share a love for reading! At our weekly meetings, we read submissions and organize events that encourage the growth of the literary community in Madison, including author readings, open mics, collaborations with other journals, and our release parties at the end of each semester.
