War In Society and Culture Student Association

Open to students with interest in War in Society and Culture studies. We sponsor academic, social and professional development opportunities for students in the relationship between armed conflict and the larger society. Our mission is to enhance intellectual community among scholars in multiple disciplines at UW-Madison. Our purpose is to enrich the UW-Madison community through the sponsorship of a variety of events and lectures, to promote an active dialogue between undergraduates, graduates, and faculty members in departments across campus, to educate the general public in matters related to the War and Society, and to enhance the educational experience of graduate students at UW-Madison.  We work with interested academic departments, faculty, State Historical Society, and the State Veterans Museum to maximize the intellectual experience on campus.
