Wisconsin Surma Fusion Dance Team

Wisconsin Surma is the premier co-ed Bollywood Fusion dance team here at UW Madison. We compete nationally in a series of competitions alongside some of the best schools and teams in the country. In the past years, we have traveled to New York, Philadelphia, California, Texas, Minneapolis, Iowa, Ohio, Chicago, and more.

We bring students from all levels of experience to perform a routine consisting of a variety of genres in dance such as Contemporary, Hip Hop, Bhangra, and Indian Classical. On this team, you will get to learn new styles of dance, perform in front of large audiences across the country, travel and explore new cities, and most importantly – make great friends. Our mission is to create a valued, respected community that empowers our dancers and, overall, form long-lasting friendships.
