The Timing Team is responsible for creating a chemical reaction to stop the car at the target distance. Most days are spent in the lab developing the chemical reaction and creating calibration curves. This year, we are using the chemical chameleon reaction, which undergoes a series of sequential color changes. These color changes will trigger the car to stop at the target time. We are also working with the Electrical and Chassis Teams to add a valve actuator to last year’s reaction vessel, allowing us to automatically trigger the car to start. New members do not need any prior lab experience to join. We will teach you everything that you need to know! Hope to see you there!
